Top Makeup Products of 2012

With the 2012 year coming to a close, its time to put away another year under our belts, and look back at what a year it has been!  There have been both good and bad this year, but I am here to share with you the good.
I have a little confession: I am a makeup junkie.  After having discovered youtube makeup gurus about two years ago, it opened a whole new world to me that I hadn't thought existed; here were girls who were sharing tips and ideas for style and makeup, and they helped me with my skin.  My skin isn't perfect, I do have a little redness, but with the tips I learned from the girls on youtube, and being fearless to try new things, I found the perfect products to help look my best.  So here are a few things I have tried over the past year that I could not live without.

I've tried many moisturizers in the past few years, and having combination skin, I look for one that helps my skin during the cold winter days; this Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer is one of the very few that doesn't make my skin more oily.  I don't use this everyday, only when my skin needs it.

I bought this foundation at the beginning of the year, and tried it, but it didn't stick with me.  I opened it again a few months ago, and fell in love with it; maybe it was the fact that it didn't do well in warm weather, but for the past three months I have been using this foundation non-stop, and am now in need of a new bottle!  I've been using Revlon ColorStay in 110 Ivory for the past week, as I haven't had time to run to Sephora to get some more of this.  The price tag is a little hefty for someone trying to watch their wallet, but I love this!! (P.S. if your looking for a cheaper alternative, Revlon ColorStay is quite nice as well)
Before using any sort of foundation, I use the Makeup Forever HD High Definition Primer (the white one).
I have very pale skin, so looking for products such as foundation or concealer isn't a fun thing to do, but after finding this product at MAC at the beginning of the year, and being in desperate need of a better concealer than the one I had been using, I picked this up, and have never looked back.  I absolutely love this concealer; being in the shade NW15, I find that after blending this into my skin, I can get away with wearing this without having to put a foundation over it to match my skin colour to the rest of my face.

For lip products, I don't like to spend too much on these, as most of the time they tend not to last the entire day, but as far as drugstore lip products go, Revlon takes the cake.  This last year, the Revlon Lip Butters have been a huge favourite with everyone I know.  These lip butters are the kind of thing that you don't need a mirror for.  Their like a cross between a lipstick and a lip balm. The colour payoff isn't as thick as a lipstick, nor is it as light as a lip balm.  An added bonus?  These lip butters are very moisturizing.

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas holiday!
